If the hate-based ballot measure were to pass, all existing gay marriages would be rendered null and void, future tax and marriage license fees that would be collected by the counties would be decreased, income in the wedding industry would decline, and nobody would benefit in any way whatsoever except narrow-minded bigots for Jeebus. A very large percentage of people in California are personally acquainted with one or more gay or lesbian couples who have become married in the last 2 months. Not a single person in California has suffered any harm at all, not even a hangnail, as a result of gay marriage. The fact is that equal rights equal equal rights. It is the Fundamentalist bigots who are seeking Special Rights®, in particular they want to have the right to decide who can get married and who can not.
