Maine Voters Set to Choose Between Jesus or Justice

Today, November 3, 2009, voters in the great state of Maine will go to the polls to vote on Question 1, a ballot measure based on California Proposition H8 that would render null and void the legality of same-sex marriage in Maine despite the fact that their "activist" legislature and "activist" Governor passed and signed a law to establish equal marriage rights for all citizens.

Of course among the most prominent sponsors of Question 1 are major Jeebus Industry organizations such as the Holy Roman Catholic Church - which has reduced child rape up to 5% this year, and other self righteous groups who actually believe they have an invisible super pal who lives in a secret compartment concealed behind the sky and cries every time two guys kiss.

There also are some people who do believe in an Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy yet still think each person should have equal justice under the law, but these are ordinary people who work at honest jobs, not priests who wear dresses, complain about other people's morality, then leer at 12 year old altar boys.

Most religious leaders are still desperately interested in protecting the Sanctity of Bigotry because it gives them an imagined handle on moral superiority and it sure brings in the cash from homophobic parishioners.

And it barely needs to be said that the Republican Party, a/k/a Party of Jesus, would be perfectly happy if they could ride a wave of fear mongering, homophobia, and spiteful innuendo to election victory. It has worked for them in the past.

Will this be the first time in the United States that the Jeebus Industry loses at the polls with one of their piously spiteful ballot measures? As a militant atheist fag I sure hope it will be.

New York Governor Unveils Gay Marriage Bill

New York Governor David Paterson is unveiling a proposed new law that would grant equal marriage rights to all residents of New York State regardless of their gender or sexual orientation. After all, Equal equals Equal.

The Catholic Church, also known as the Altar Boy Rape Corporation, is already banging their drums and posing as morally superior child molesters. And of course they pretend that their Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy does not approve of homoluv. As if any sane person in touch with objective reality would give a shit what these power hungry ultra-greedy authoritarian cretins from the 13th century have to say.

Newly installed New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan started his gig by complaining about people ridiculing the Catholic Church.
Perhaps if they stopped using ridiculous ancient fairy tales to justify medieval sexist, misogynistic and homophobic authoritarian world views people would not feel the need to strike back with well deserved ridicule and biting sarcasm.

It will be very interesting to see the way in which Governor Paterson's renewed efforts to promote equal justice under the law proceed. It is clear that the Governor is seeking to promote justice, so we can be certain that the Party of Jesus will be strongly opposed.

Catholic News Agency Says Cancer Cure from Virgin Mary

An Italian Catholic news agency, Zenit, has published reports of an alleged cancer cure with the uncontested claim that this supposed medical treatment is sponsored by the mythical Virgin Mary.

The report, by the English Catholic journalist Edward Pentin, conspicuously fails to explain precisely how this tumour-reducing drug works, and repeats utterly meaningless "research findings". However the company making money from Catholics, who are obviously predisposed to believe things in the absence of evidence, offers the following bullshit in lieu of medical information.

CellAdam works by breaking down a shield that is preventing cancer cells from communicating with the body’s natural immune system, allowing it to kill the cancer cells. “It is putting back your immune system into balance,” explains Beke, “assisting your immune system to cure the cancer, enhancing your own system to be natural and letting a natural process take over a sick body.” Certain cells react better than others to the drug, such as breast, lung and large intestinal cancer cells, melanoma malignum and certain types of obstetric tumours. But even large tumours can be blocked by CellAdam, claims Biostemworld.

It’s [sic] best track record, however, is as a cancer prevention therapy. When used as a dietary supplement, it works by building up the body’s adult stem cell count. Stem cells can decrease by as much as 80% in the course of a lifetime, leading to signs of ageing, a weakened immune system, and diseases such as cancer. With CellAdam and its other nature-based drugs, Biostemworld claims it can restore that count by as much as 75%, exceeding a similar product in California by 50%. Not only do they prevent cancer, but other diseases too.

The clever marketing ploy these cons are using to fleece the sheeple seems to be a unique blend of New Age I'll-believe-anything mumbo jumbo with the well established gullibility of those already afflicted with religious delusions about invisible super virgin faerie mothers that live in the sky.

What if the folks who developed this miracle cure were offering you a chance to get in on the ground floor of this "unique Business Opportunity"? Now do you believe that the Virgin Mary is cashing in sponsoring this breakthrough?

The CEO of the world's wealthiest corporate-state has spoken out against selfishness while wearing a gold ring, a gold crucifix, and vestments richly embroidered with gold lame, all while posing for photographs in front of a lavishly decorated and jewel embedded golden throne chair.

The lavishly outfitted Rat in a Hat, who clawed his way to the top of the Roman Catholic corporate ladder with a highly successful campaign to obstruct investigations of child abuse by Catholic priests [PDF], said people should not think just about themselves in times of economic crisis.

Does this mean that a Catholic Cardinal who becomes aware of a priest committing felony sex crimes against innocent children should not think just about himself and try to cover up the crime?

Surely the Church would not worry about losing money more than caring for children.

It's good to know that the head of the wealthiest corporate-state on the planet thinks we should not be greedy. I wonder how much his golden throne chair weighs?

The multi-billionaire head of the Holy Roman Altar Boy Rape Corporation has delivered his Christmas present to the gay community. On Monday 12/22/2008 the former Hitler youth said that saving humanity from homosexuals is as important as dealing with climate change.

One wonders if he has been secretly dating Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern. Both of these seemingly insane Christians claim that ho mo sexuals pose a huge threat, in the case of Sally Kern the threat is limited to the United States of America, but Nazi Ratzi trumps that bitch by claiming that gays are a threat to the entire human species worldwide.

I would be content to just ridicule fucktards like Ratzinger and leave it at that, but also in the news today is the story of the brutal gang rape of a lesbian woman by men who used hateful homophobic slurs while brutalizing this innocent victim. It appears these subhuman creatures targeted the victim because her car had a rainbow sticker.

Avy Skolnik, a coordinator with the New York-based National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs, noted that gay, lesbian and transgender crime victims may be more reluctant than straight victims to contact the police.
The organization, a network of nonprofits working to reduce anti-gay bias in 35 cities, counted 70 sexual assaults involving gay or transgender victims in 2007. In the vast majority of cases, the alleged perpetrators were straight men, Skolnik said.
"Assailants target LGBT people of all gender identities with sexual assault," he said. "Such targeting is one of the most cruel, dehumanizing, and violent forms of hate violence that our communities experience."
Skolnik said the group has noticed a dramatic spike in the number of bias-related murders this year involving gay and lesbian victims and plans to analyze the data to see if the increase may be related to the gay marriage bans that appeared on ballots this year in California, Arizona and Florida.
"Anytime there is an anti-LGBT initiative, we tend to see spikes both in the numbers and the severity of attacks," he said. "People feel this extra entitlement to act out their prejudice."

So when idiots like the Rat in a Hat and Sally Kern issue their amazingly stupid homophobic slurs the idiocy of their disgusting vomit-flavored words seems to inspire the least human beings among us to justify their sociopathic behavior, as if somehow their brutality is justified by the second class status of their victims.

The Rat in a Hat contributes to the atmosphere of hatred and intolerance toward gay people when he issues retarded slurs like the one yesterday. Sure he puts a pretty dress on it and pretends he still loves gay people, but the cretins who use homophobia to justify their crimes or political campaigns are quick to ignore his concessions.

Just say NO to former Nazi youth who ordered American bishops to conceal sex crimes against children committed by their employees.

Vatican Opposes Stem Cell Research, Nobody Cares

The Holy Roman Altar Boy Rape Corporation has reaffirmed their opposition to stem cell research. The organization that has achieved worldwide fame for massive coverups of child molesting priests also indicated that in vitro fertilization is very, very naughty because the parish priest does not get to fantasize about a couple he married doing it.

In a stunning show of nearly human compassion, however, the world's largest superstitious cult based corporation indicated people might not burn in hell for all time just for adopting an embryo. I bet a lot of fertility doctors issued a huge sigh of relief over that ruling!

The official eunuch, or at least celibate, spokesperson (altar boys don't count) for the Rat in a Hat, a little gnomish looking creep named Monsignor Elio Sgreccia also indicated that women who take the drug RU-486 after being raped, or even molested by their parish priest, are committing a "gravely immoral act".

Nobody seemed to care very much what these shriveled up old men in Rome had to say. No abortion clinics or fertility clinics shut down overnight. No doctors or scientists seemed to abandon their careers or decide to stop helping people.

Mostly it was just a bunch of noise from shriveled up creeps living lives of extreme luxury with billions of dollars collected from poor people afflicted with religious delusions. Meh.

California Corporations Oppose Jeebus-Bigotry of Proposition 8

A number of large and well known California corporations have joined the many voices of reason expressing opposition to the Jeebus-brand bigotry of Proposition 8. The ballot initiative, if passed, would enshrine homophobic bigotry based on preposterous ancient superstitions directly into the California state constitution.

If the hate-based ballot measure were to pass, all existing gay marriages would be rendered null and void, future tax and marriage license fees that would be collected by the counties would be decreased, income in the wedding industry would decline, and nobody would benefit in any way whatsoever except narrow-minded bigots for Jeebus. The only benefit they would obtain is the preservation of the Sanctity of Bigotry.

Among the many organizations coming out in favor of reason, tolerance, and equal rights for all citizens are the world famous Google, Levi Strauss and Company, and bay area utility firm Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).

Meanwhile the Jeebus industry keeps pouring money, sermons and bald faced lies into the effort to roll back equality and take away the hard earned rights for which homos have struggled so long. The lines could not possibly be more clearly drawn, rational people that live in contact with reality are opposed to this baseless and spiteful discrimination, and Christianity is the champion of fiction, untruth, bigotry and intolerance.

It is Jeebus versus progress, religion versus decency, fairy tales versus the real world. We promise to post a Ha Ha message on November 5th when the Jeebus industry goes down in flames. May this limitless, well funded campaign to promote intolerance reveal to the world the nasty underside of one of the most dangerous fairy tale based Lifestyle Choices in the world.

UK Cardinal: Atheism is Product of Distorted Christianity

You can always tell when a religious leader is saying something stupid, just watch their lips to see if they are moving. The UK Regional Profit Manager for the Holy Roman Altar Boy Church, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor (shown in his best Sunday go to Meeting Dress) has suggested that "modern atheism" is a product of a distorted kind of Christianity." Apparently the Cardinal believes that without Christianity there could be no atheism.

Maybe he means the distorted kind of Christianity in which people that publicly criticize the world's wealthiest pedophile ring are not burnt at the stake. The Cardinal may be longing for the good old days, hundreds of years ago, when the religious options included Catholicism or death.

Atheism, beyond any shadow of a doubt, is the natural state of all living things.

The word atheism combines the prefix 'a', meaning without, with the word theism, meaning a delusional belief in one or more Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy(ies). If you made a nearly infinitely large chart, and you listed all of the gods that have ever been imagined by a human being on the left side, and all of the gods that a newborn baby believes in on the right side, the chart would be empty on the right side. A newborn baby is without any delusional belief in invisible fairies, therefore all babies are born as atheists.

Let us now compare what Cardinal O'Connor calls "modern atheism" with, say, the atheism of a newborn human baby born 27,521 years ago.

The modern atheist does not believe in any Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy. The newborn baby 27,521 years ago also did not believe in any Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy. So far there does not seem to be any difference.

It must be very lonely running the regional profit center for the Church in modern day Britain. The British people are not constantly awash in idiotic Fundamentalist drivel like some other nations. The average man in the street in the UK today has no interest in anything to do with Christianity. Brits really are good at recognizing bullshit when it is being shoveled.

There is one consistent note to every attempt by Christians to denigrate atheism, they must always begin by misrepresenting the definition of the term. Cardinal O'Connor, commenting on Richard Dawkins:

"The interesting question about atheism is what is the theism being denied? Have you ever met anyone who believes what Richard Dawkins does not believe in? The God that is being rejected by such people is a God I don't believe in either."

Here is the interesting answer, the theism that atheists do not believe includes all delusions about all imaginary deities no matter who is being delusional or what they have to say about their delusion. For each and every Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy, all atheists everywhere throughout all time do not believe in that delusion. Modern atheists and ancient atheists do not believe in exactly the same number of Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddies - all of them.

So Cardinal O'Connor, whatever color you may think your invisible super pal's beard may be, we do not believe that it exists.

A person that does not believe in any God at all, even the ones that have not been imagined yet, is an atheist.

A person that only disbelieves in a subset of invisible super pals, but who does believe in one or more Special Friend(s) is not an atheist.

No belief in any God = atheism. Belief in more than zero God(s) = theism. We hope this is clear enough that even a professional Catholic can understand it.

Spanish Woman Poses Nude To Embarrass Mean Uncle Cardinal

A Spanish mother of two, whose uncle is a neo-fascist Catholic Cardinal pig and friend of the Rat in a Hat, was slighted when her uncle ignored the deaths of both of her parents, refusing to attend their funerals and even offering a bald faced lie as an excuse. Perhaps the parents were not hate-mongering homophobic liars, and Cardinal Antonio María Rouco Varela did not like them for thinking independent thoughts. So she did a photoshoot for a Spanish soft porn magazine, Interviú, just to piss off Uncle Asshole. Ha ha!

Magdalena Rouco Hernández stripped off to embarrass her uncle, who is head of the Spanish Episcopal Conference and also a friend of Pope Benedict XVI [ed: Rat in a Hat].

The mother-of-two posed topless on eight pages of Interviú magazine, whose curious formula consists of generous helpings of female flesh combined with serious investigations.

The 27-year-old, who went to mass every day as a girl, said she chose to do the photoshoot to expose her uncle's "hypocrisy" following her father's death. "My uncle never tires of repeating that the family is sacred and that you have to respect it. But then he does not respect it and abandons his own," she said.

"When my father died, [Rouco] did not come to the funeral, didn't send flowers or tell my mother of his sorrow. He told us he had a meeting with Pope John Paul II, but it was not true.

Who has Family Values? Is it the daughter who loved her parents dearly and later posed in a risque fashion, or is it the Family Values Cardinal who does not even give a shit about his own family.

The Cardinal loves to spread lies and hatred, he is after all a Catholic Cardinal, so he says idiotic things like "gay marriage is the worst disaster in 200 years". No doubt because of the millions of deaths in Spain since gay marriage became legal. Altar boys know that the more a priest complains about homosexuals, the more dresses he has in his closet. I bet the Spanish altar boys don't ever let him get them alone in a corner.

One thing I really do admire very much about Spanish culture is that they do not tolerate fascist pig religious leaders messing with their government. They have learned from experience.

Pope Expresses Deep Shame Over Child Molestations by Priests

The Rat in a Hat, spiritual leader of over 1 billion deeply delusional people, has said a few things with which we are happy to agree. This came as a surprise, but a pleasant one.

Speaking with reporters while airborne on Pope 1 enroute to the US, the world's wealthiest man who wears a gold lamé dress, said that he was deeply ashamed of the thousands of cases of child sexual abuse perpetrated by his employees in conducting the official business of his corporate state. This shame that he feels is completely justified and realistic, unlike much of what he says.

The Rat in a Hat has every good reason to be ashamed of the history of conspiracy, cover ups, enabling, and white-washing of felony crimes committed by his associates. He is especially entitled to be ashamed of his personal role in ordering the coverups and then later seeking legal immunity for his role. In 2001 then Cardinal Ratzinger, a/k/a God's Rotweiler, he sent a letter to US bishops ordering them to cover up the crimes of his employees.

So yeah, Ratzi, you do have plenty to apologize for, and maybe some more cash-bleeding court cases to suffer through too. But at least we know that when it came to choosing between protecting the church from the testimony of victims, or protecting children from child molesting priests - you made the choice to protect the Vatican instead of the kids.

Back to today's interview over the Atlantic, the Rat in a Hat did have the good taste to make it clear that these felon priests were pedophiles, and that this was not the same as being homosexual. Maybe it is the small miracles we should be thankful for, don't seem to be a lot of big ones.
